The action created when fishing for crappie and bluegill is amazing with the 5'6" light rod coupled with a micro reel spooled w/4lb test. Not to mention this combo will cast a mile. Also, pretty good quality for an inexpensive rod.

The UB56LS 5 ½ ft rod is an excellent rod for the soft bite of flounder and trout. Coupled with a good Shimano ultra light real and braided line, I have landed a number of large flounder and trout. The rod is light enough to feel a week bite, yet strong enough to drive the hook home. I have many more expensive bait casters, but prefer this LIGHT rig for long days in the hot FL sun.
