Rated 5 out of 5 by Dogster Great rod
Outstanding sensitivity, good backbone. When coupled with the UB35, its an excellent panfishing set up. With more power than a true ultralight, it handles the unexpected larger bass or catfish with no problems. Great rod at an affordable price, I have 6!

Overall good rod for price. I put a Zebco 22 on it and took it out crappie fishing and ended up catching a pound and a half crappie. Good stiff rod for the crappie/perch fisherman.

This rod is definately not what I would call light action. I say medium action. I guess it's an ok rod, just not as light as I wanted. I highly recommend Bass Pro's light action Power Plus rod for $20. It's well worth the extra $5.

I bought this rod for my wife. In the past she had trouble felling bites with an Ugly Stick. She has also broken other high dollar rods in the past. I bought this rod on sale and couldn't be happier. The bluegill bite was light on a recent trip to Arkansas, and she consistently pulled more fish into the boat than the rest of us. When I asked her how, she said she had a better feel with this rod. This is a comparison to her Ugly Stick, an Abu Garcia Vendetta(which she broke), and my Falcon Low Rider XG. She also hooked some small bass and had no problems getting them to the boat. This rod has great sensitivity and enough backbone for most general fishing.
