Bought this reel this past spring to put on my jig pole. Worked fine for a while but then I kept getting my 8 lb line between the spool and the reel casing along the inside of the reel. At first, I could just pull it out, but then it got so bad that the handle wouldn't turn at all there was so much line around the shaft. So took the little screws off on the side opposite the handle and the inside spring comes jumping out at me. Got it back together but now there is no free spool and no stop. Less than a year and I'm going to have to replace this reel. Uncle buck's tackle is usually a great value, but skip this one and spend a little more. I wish I had.

I bought several for some crappie poles and they do the job for me. Small compact and easy to use, Stores a lot of line so you have plenty to use over a season of fishing.
