I've tried flipping, and I've tried trolling to a point where I can get my bait into a tight space, both with basically the same results......tangled line, snagged bait, etc. Somtimes it looked like I was trying to catch birds instead of crappie.
I tried Uncle Buck's Crappie Pole, the 10' variety, and I was able to place the bait in a spot not much bigger than a silver dollar, under tree limbs and between lily pads. What an awesome addition to my fishing gear.
While at first I was a little concerned about how the pole would react to larger fish, after catching several large slabs, I'm sure I'll have no trouble bringing any size fish into the boat. I'm able to pull crappie into the boat all day long.
I recommend this pole to anyone trying to catch crappie at their sneakiest.

Uncle Bucks crappie pole worked like a charm. At the time we went fishing the crappie where in the fallen trees and stumps in the shallows.I tryed to throw a minnow in there with a spinning reel but every time I would get a bite it would get hung up.So I used the crappie pole and i didn't get hung up again.I Ended up the day with 20 fish in the boat.

When i first took this rod out to the lake i didnt expect how much it could handle.i put monnows on it and had a fish bite it and it was pulling good it had the whole rod bent in half. When i finnalt got it in the boat it was a 15 inch Largemouth Bass.I would highly recomend this rod for anone looking for something a little different.
