Rated 5 out of 5 by This is not your kids BB gun I like to target shoot . and this Rifle has a good weight and very accurate and fun to shoot . September 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing! This gun blew me away. The first 5 or so shots were as loud/louder than a real firearm, due to the amount of oil in the barrel/piston. And the first shots also let out a lot of smoke from the barrel. After sighting in the scope, I was able to hit a penny at 25 yards on the first try. This gun blows straight through birds, frogs, glass bottles, fiberglass boats, animal skulls, and whatever else I shot at today. Feels very nice in your hands, ergonomic hand grip, smooth-as-butter 2 stage trigger, and isn't difficult to cock. Downsides: The safety turns on every time you chamber a pellet (which is somewhat common on pellet rifles) The scope doesn't have mil-dots There aren't any iron sights, only a scope Overall, it's 200% worth the $120 it costs. I would absolutely buy it again if I ever lost the rifle for some reason. Highly recommended for any shooters on a budget. September 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Awesome pellet gun holds a tight group at fifty yards with GAMO Tomahawks hollowpoints lead. Good for back yard pests. April 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Powerful and Loud Got this rifle the other day and couldn't wait to fire it. The rifle is a bit heavy, not suitable for a kid or most women. When I first fired it I was amazed how loud it was. It sounded like my 30 30. At 1200 ft per second it has amazing hitting power. Not much left of a squirrel or chipmunk at 30 yards. Have to be careful when I shoot it, even through I live down a dirt road in the woods, the neighbors keep calling the cops. July 10, 2013

no it does not need to be cleaned right outof the box

A:
You should cleam the barrel before you shoot it. A couple of dry patches should do the trick, and wipe any packing oil off the gun. Mine was dripping with oil.Bass Pro has a nice cleaning kit that works great and is priced right.

No it does not need to be cleaned, most guns are ready to shoot however they need to be broken in. You wont find out true accuracy till 500 shots or so every thing will settle in there, you can find cleaning petters made out of felt that you can shoot to clean also. An air rifle repair man once told me be very careful cleaning an air rifle unless its an old smooth barrel account you can easily mess up the rifling and mess up accuracy.

It's just for looks, all it is, is a *poorly* molded plastic piece that is glued on the outside of the barrel.

The first shot out of the box sounded almost like a .22, but after that it was extremely quiet. I have never shot a springer that was this quiet.
