Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Awesome pellet gun holds a tight group at fifty yards with GAMO Tomahawks hollowpoints lead. Good for back yard pests. April 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Powerful and Loud Got this rifle the other day and couldn't wait to fire it. The rifle is a bit heavy, not suitable for a kid or most women. When I first fired it I was amazed how loud it was. It sounded like my 30 30. At 1200 ft per second it has amazing hitting power. Not much left of a squirrel or chipmunk at 30 yards. Have to be careful when I shoot it, even through I live down a dirt road in the woods, the neighbors keep calling the cops. July 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome This air rifle is great. The rifle holds a nice group even out to 60 yds. I have been using this to rid my bird feeder of squirrels and chipmunks and I never have to worry about the rifle not performing. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is that i would have liked it to have iron sights in addition to the scope. Don't get me wrong though the scope is pretty good for the price range here. SO far it has held the zero for about 200 shots now...which some of the other "included" scopes seem to have a problem with. For the money you can't go wrong with this one. Besides it looks cool too. no it does not need to be cleaned right outof the box

You should cleam the barrel before you shoot it. A couple of dry patches should do the trick, and wipe any packing oil off the gun. Mine was dripping with oil.Bass Pro has a nice cleaning kit that works great and is priced right.

No it does not need to be cleaned, most guns are ready to shoot however they need to be broken in. You wont find out true accuracy till 500 shots or so every thing will settle in there, you can find cleaning petters made out of felt that you can shoot to clean also. An air rifle repair man once told me be very careful cleaning an air rifle unless its an old smooth barrel account you can easily mess up the rifling and mess up accuracy.

The first shot out of the box sounded almost like a .22, but after that it was extremely quiet. I have never shot a springer that was this quiet.
