Best stuff we ever used, and it does not smell bad. I can't say anymore. It works and smells decent. :)

I've used this and the Sawyer brand with similar percentage of DEET. Both are equally effective against insects but the Ultrathon doesn't need as frequent applications if you are in the heat and sweating. I agree with one other reviewer. It doesn't keep biting flies off as well as it works on mosquitoes.A:
I think it works fairly well, maybe just a bit better than others. There are noticeably less mosquitos when I apply the Ultrathon, but not gone. And as for repelling flies, it does nothing for me, but my husband thinks it works great.1 of 1
