this thread works well for flies and for your wallet. strong and does not break easily. it took me a lot of strength to break it. i do this with most threads as a test

I actually started tying my own flies, The ultra thread I purchase from bass pro actually turned out to be great thread to tie with.

it won't let you down. there is nothing worse than tying a fly and you are almost done and the thread breaks. this thread is perfect for any fly tying application.the name says it all "ultra thread" stock up and tie away.

I didn't find this tying thread to my liking. It separates easily into filaments while tying and frays rather easily. The only application I found for it was in tying ultra small flies (sizes 20 and below). I can separate the filaments and use (carefully) a very very fine thread that works well on tiny patterns.
I've been tying flies for over 50 years and this thread reminds me of the old style threads of years back...
