This tool is just a must on ever anglers vest. How many times have you been standing up to your waist in the river while changing flies and you drop your last caddis during the hatch and watch it float away. Lash this tool to a zinger and use it to pluck your flies from your boxes. It grabs them and holds them fast making tying them on a breeze, and best of all NO MORE LOST FLIES!

I just returned from a fly fishing trip at Bennett Spring State Park and found this tool to be indispensable. It has a spring-loaded retracting hook that you can use to pick a fly from a fly box, hold it while you clean the eye and tie it to your tippet/leader. I was using as small as 7X leader and this tool made it much easier to tie. You can easily twist it to help make the turns for a clinch knot. It has a clip and a ring on the post you can attach to a zinger or lanyard.
