Even though this line is more expensive than Dacron, Dacron must be replaced at least every season, but Spectra lasts virtually forever. 1200yards will service 4 reels at 300 yards each when used as a hollow backing for knotless mono or fluoro topshot splice connections. So $200 for four reels brings the cost of the150lb down to only $50 each for hollow line that can be used season after season. Plus Spectra is less absorbent than Dacron, making it handle cleaner in long-distance fights.

I have used this line, in 80 and 130 pound test, to make wind-on and top-shot leaders.
The line is easy to work with when splicing, inserting leaders or making knot-less loops etc.
Hollow braids can be quite expensive, but Tuf-Line is no more costly than ordinary solid braid.

This stuff feels like mono in your hands, it is hands down the smoothest braid out.
Tough to get but worth it, and it makes the best topshots.
