Rated 5 out of 5 by Phenomenal Excellent surf rod. I purchased the 10ft xtra heavy rod because I have herd that these blanks actually explode if the you use a heavy lure. I use a 3oz weight and it putting up excellent. The casting on this thing is incredible. Some braided line 30-50 pound test on a penn spinfisher 550-650. If your still worried of the blank exploding get the xtra heavy cause its more thicker then the medium heavy or if anything get the tsunami elite series rod. They are worth the money.
