Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Sight! This sight is the best sight you can get for $50. The 5 metal pins are very bright and are even brighter with a light. I hunt in Idaho and it is illegal to use lights on bow sights but even without the light the pins are really bright even in low light conditions. After you buy this sight and get to use it you will think you just bought an $80 to $100 dollar sight! September 22, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by Truglo Extreme Sight This is an excellent sight for the money. The pins are extremely bright and the included light can be used during low light periods, but I have yet had to use it. All metal housing and brackets are of good quality. Once set, the sight will not vibrate loose or come out of adjustment. Highly recommended! November 14, 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bright Sight This Sight is amazing! Very sturdy and also very bright. It's awsome how well you can see the pins in a low light area. I've see other sights with a lot lesser quality for a lot more of your wallet, and this sight blows those high dollar sights out of the water! You wont be disappointed! September 6, 2006

Looks like you can remove them, but you would have to take the sight apart. If you wasn't planning on using the pin in the future you can just cut the fiber optic tube and take the allen screw out of pin and it would be off in less than a minute.

I would rather 0.19 pins on the sight. The larger pins would throw me off. And what pins would you use to replace the 0.29? There are so many out there.

If you have not bought this sight yet ask for the 0.19 pin sight, but I don't think you can change these pins.

The easiest way to do that would be to just switch out the entire pin housing. it would take a good amount of work to pull out the fiber optics and then put the .019 fiber optics into the proper holes. that being said, it is possible to switch them out.

A:
Would recomend only sighting in 20,30 and 40 and would probably slide the last 2 pins all the way down. Taking a shot longer than 40 you are more than likely going to just wound an animal or have a long time before you can start tracking. I have always been told the pin colors were just for quick yardage aquisition.

Its all about your preference, I set my sight for 20,30,40,50,60 yards, for some people 3 or four pins is enough.Yes each pin(fiber) must be adjusted to your bow. As far as the colors go not really sure other than the fact it offers you quick identification between the different yardage settings. If they were all the same color this might take a while to distinguish. That could be the difference between your animal on the ground or watching it fade in the distance.

ADV: is to be able to see your pins later in the evening or early morning. DIS: Have to check local law to see if light is legal to hunt with. make sure to tight light down with pilers vibration will cause them to come loose and fall off.

Honestly, unless it is pitch black you will probably not need the light. These pins are super bright.

The way the light is set on this sight is great. It shines into the pin housing bracket which contains the beams of the light yet still gives full effect on the fiber optics. If you have a slight glare coming through, take a peice of camo or black tape and cover the small area by the level where the light shines through. This will have no effect on the brightness of the pins.

The light just gives you more light in the low light conditions. Say you can see the sight earlyer and later. I dont prefer it, it gives me a glare.
