Give this one a pass. There are some good qualities about this however none of them can make up for the fact thatafter it's sighted in it goes out of sight extremely after 2 shots with my 3 1/2 inch turkey loads. March 2, 2011
so far so good Mounted this scope myself on a remington 870, using a mount i ordered online, had to remove the existing trigger pins, and attach the new mount. the scope mounted easily, i did not boresight it, just winged it. set up a target at 25 yards, fired two shots (2-3/4 inch rifled slugs out of a smoothbore barrel with a improved choke.) the shots were 2 inches high, 2 inches left. adjusted the windage and elevation (1 click at 25 yards is 1/4 inch)..the wrong way, so i was now 4 inches off, redid everything, and the next shot was dead center. fire two more and the were all within 1 inch of center. i then fired about a dozen rounds of various turkey loads, and also a bunch of 7-1/2's for the heck of it. then fired a few more slugs, it was still on. Cons: the lens covers were working loose, i will slap a ring of electrical tape or something to keep from loosing them. also, the spare battery cap was screw on supertight, had to use pliers just to loosen it, so loosen it before you go hunting, hard to get a grip on the cap also, i scuffed mine some with the pliers, no biggie though. Overall so far i am quite pleased, have not tried it in the field yet, but i think it will be just fine. February 28, 2011
Good turkey scope I purchased this scope to use on my TC Encore 12ga. turkey barrel. Have not had a chance to use on old tom yet but I am sure it will do the trick. The intergrated rings make the scope easy to mount. The brightness of either the green or red dot can be adjusted for any light conditions. I gave this product a five star rating even though I had a problem with the flip-up caps. They are to loose and will come off easily. I replaced them with Butler Creek caps and now am completely satisfied with this scope. January 20, 2011
Great Scope I put this on an Remington 870 12GA on a remington scope mount. Was right on at 30 yards out of the box. Put the dot on a strutters neck on opening day here in Ohio and that was all she wrote. If you get an early morning bird I think you would be out of luck as you can't see through it without much light. The front cap on mine fell off somewhere in the woods so that is kind of a bummer, but other than that it has been great. April 21, 2010

A:
yes it will work fine however keep in mind the reticle is a big circle with a center dot. a traditional truglo red dot sight with just the dot, or the multi reticle line would prolly b the better choice for the ar.

Do I need Weaver style base? Would I need to tap my shotgun for the base? Would the B-Square Shotgun Scope Mount work, or should I use the Weaver No Gunsmith Shotgun Scope Mounts?

A:
I mounted mine with a weaver scope mount. As far as whether or not to tap or use the no gunsmith mounts. I looked at some of them, they seem to me that they would work, less expensive than having your shotgun tapped, but as always, drilled and tapped will always be more stable in my opinion.

A:
go with the b square you can still use iron sights and are typically stronger than a satndard weaver base. The gobble stopper will fit right on the b squar.

This scope will work great on your gun. It will, however, require a Weaver style mount which is also available (specific to your gun) at Bass Pro Shops!

there is not a b square avail. so you would have to tap the reciever, if its already tapped then buy a weaver 430m base and it will go right on

This scope will fit on any Weaver style scope mount with ease. If your shotgun is tapped on top for a scope mount you can just add that and connect the Red Dot to it. If your gun is not tapped (mine was not) you can add a scope mount that straddles the gun and uses the two screws that go into the reciever of the gun - Bsquare makes them and is also sold a BassPro.
