Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Scope I put this on an Remington 870 12GA on a remington scope mount. Was right on at 30 yards out of the box. Put the dot on a strutters neck on opening day here in Ohio and that was all she wrote. If you get an early morning bird I think you would be out of luck as you can't see through it without much light. The front cap on mine fell off somewhere in the woods so that is kind of a bummer, but other than that it has been great. April 21, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT! bought this about a month ago in to get ready for the spring. Very quick and easy to site in. I have in on my 11-87. I have about 30 rounds with it on, have removed it twice, and an airline flight and is still dead on. Got a nice 10" long beard with it last week! April 13, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for a little feather dustin! I bought the gobble stopper dot sight, and frankly i love it. I put it on a mossberg 835 turkey gun. i shoot very hot 3 1/2 inch shells and the scope has never lost zero, that being said ive shot about 200 rounds, all 3 1/2 inch shells, so it is very tough! Crystal clear glass, quality construction, good looks, a spare battery compartment, lanyard style windage/elevation caps, so you dont lose em, and it also comes with flip open lens caps. The reticle is what i like the best, it represents a 24" circle at 30 yards, and thats about the size pattern that is coming out of most turkey guns at 30 yards, so just put your pattern where the, reticle is and pull, its really simple with this sight. 2 thombs up go truglo! A:
yes it will work fine however keep in mind the reticle is a big circle with a center dot. a traditional truglo red dot sight with just the dot, or the multi reticle line would prolly b the better choice for the ar.

Do I need Weaver style base? Would I need to tap my shotgun for the base? Would the B-Square Shotgun Scope Mount work, or should I use the Weaver No Gunsmith Shotgun Scope Mounts?

I mounted mine with a weaver scope mount. As far as whether or not to tap or use the no gunsmith mounts. I looked at some of them, they seem to me that they would work, less expensive than having your shotgun tapped, but as always, drilled and tapped will always be more stable in my opinion.

A:
go with the b square you can still use iron sights and are typically stronger than a satndard weaver base. The gobble stopper will fit right on the b squar.

This scope will work great on your gun. It will, however, require a Weaver style mount which is also available (specific to your gun) at Bass Pro Shops!

there is not a b square avail. so you would have to tap the reciever, if its already tapped then buy a weaver 430m base and it will go right on

This scope will fit on any Weaver style scope mount with ease. If your shotgun is tapped on top for a scope mount you can just add that and connect the Red Dot to it. If your gun is not tapped (mine was not) you can add a scope mount that straddles the gun and uses the two screws that go into the reciever of the gun - Bsquare makes them and is also sold a BassPro.
