Tru-Fire Hardcore Buckle Bow Releases
Well worth the money!!
I have shot Tru-Fire for years and this is the top of the line, best release they have ever produced. The smooth crisp trigger along with the centershot technology, puts this release #1 in my book. The only problem I have had with the release is that when I first started shooting, the string would catch my cheek. Switched back to my old release, nothing ever happened. After tweaking with my bow for days upon days trying to get rid of that aggravating slap to the cheek, it finally worked itself out. If you are looking for a new release for next season I would consider this one. And Tru-Fire stands behind their products so if something happens they will take care of you!

Jaw fell off
I like the design and features of the Hardcore Max. I am disappointed with the quality and durability. The press fit pins which hold the jaw in place were loose and two fell out while shooting in a 3D league causing an arrow to release without warning. When the pins fell out the trigger actually fell off the release. I have tried four different Hardcore Max releases to date and the pressed in pins were loosely fit in two of them. If a pin slips out of the hole, the jaw which grips the bow string or D-loop can release as it did in my case.

I switched from a Tru ball 4 finger release, after reading about the hardcore, I was curious if it would shrink my long range groups there were baseball size. Well the Hardcore is everything, it is said to be!! The trigger has many adjustments for travel AND pressure needed to fire. I set mine a little stiff for gloves because winter is around the corner here in NY. The actual release head has an adjustable length which is nice. I wouldn't about the price its worth it my arrows touch at 40-50 yards now, a price cant be put on that constant type of accuracy.

Great Product, Even Better Service
I bought this product specifically for elk hunting. I wanted a release that was strapped on for high activity and would be right where I needed it when the situation arose. It had to fold back in order to be able to use binos and rangefinder without it interfering or making noise. I also had to be able to get it fully into the shooting position with only that hand as my bow is always in the other while mountain hunting. I can easily do that by sliding it across my leg, something I couldn't do with a strap or rope attachment release. Beyond those demands, the additional features I like are the adjustable trigger pull, the trigger profile options (I chose the fast back cause I like to slide my finger around the trigger vs over into shooting position), and the hook style attachment. I really like this cause I can easily attach it to the bow with my fingers and never look at it.
Beyond the amazing product that Tru-Fire has produced, their customer service department is just as good if not better! I am making some adjustments to my bow and in turn made some adjustments to the length of the release head. I over tightened the set screw and stripped it. Yes, I DID IT, not someone else. I called Tru-Fire and asked them what I should do. They told me to put it in a package and mail it to them with a note describing the problem and my return address. I did that on a Friday afternoon and the following Wednesday my release with a new set screw in place showed up in the mail and all it cost me was the shipping there. They went well above and beyond my expectations! Customer for life!
