Tru-Fire 360 Buckle Foldback Bow Release
Well worth it!
This is the first release I have purchased in over 10 years which happened to be a Tru-Fire Patriot. The Patriot never failed me and has been used to let well over 1000 arrows fly. I looked at other brands but I decided to stick with Tru-Fire since my old one never let me down. I wanted one with a buckle, fold away design, and plenty of adjustment and the Tru-Fire 360 fit the bill with everything I wanted. The strap is very comfortable much more quiet than my old patriot with the velcro strap. Get one.

Not happy with design
There are 2 different 360 releases available, the standard (offered at BassPro) and the 360 Elite (offered at pro bow shops). The Elite has all the adjustments of the standard plus a trigger tension adjustment. I purchased the Elite to have total trigger adjustment. Even with the higher priced Elite 360, the trigger is junk. Why? Most bow hunters use a release that works like a sear on a gun, a little tension, small travel and all of a sudden you have 100% release. Not so with the 360. Because the head spins from the trigger housing, the release is sent down the center of the body housing. Its basically a pyramid that retracts from between the jaws. That makes the jaws open slowly with the trigger pull until the loop or bow string can finally fit between the jaws. There is no sudden release with minimal trigger pull.
Other than that, I love the hybrid strap and fold back. I have sold this release on an online auction sight and purchased the Tru Fire Hardcore instead. It didnt cost that much more but it was well worth the extra investment. Dont waste your $ on this release if you are use to a conventional release trigger....shoot for the Edge or hardcore instead.
In addition. The whole point of the 360 head is to be able to rotate your hand, the trigger follow your hand and the head stay with the string preventing bow torque. This may work if you shoot off the bow string but if using a D loop, the tension on the release from drawing your bow causes too much friction at the place of rotation. That said you still end up twisting your D loop just as a standard release.
Major design flaw Tru Fire.....fix it or get rid of the release.

1st release I have owned. Works like it is suppose to. Keeps me on target out to the 50yard pin.

I was sick of my old release getting in the way of everything and the velcro strap making so much noise. The Tru-Fire was so easy to change to...a few twists to get the right length and a few practice shots to make sure everything was on.
It folds back and stays out of the way, but its ready to go in a quiet second. The ease and silence of putting it on made this an easy choice for me.
