I know how to tie a blood knot but I was looking for an easy way to tie it. It is a poor design for its purpose. I made one that works much better and much cheaper. I am returning it to bass pro.

I have read alot of bad reviews about this product and I think people think this thing is made for things it is not. Would I use it on the river up to my waist, no way, a double overhand is faster and alot easier. Do I use this thing tying my own leaders before I go out, you bet!! It ties the best tru blood knots I have ever seen and is not that hard to figure out. The directions are pretty basic so use your head and you will figure this thing out in no time. A tru blood knot is the hardest of all fishing knots ( try it with a nail) . It will not tie the knot for you, and it will take some practice but over all it is a very useful too.
