Im using this product for the first time and deer are tearing it up. they found it fast and wont leave it alone. The rock has been out since may and given some pretty good rain, there is still a lot left. Im definitely going to continue using this product

Weve been usin this stuff for 5 years now n our deer are gettin bigger n bigger. But be sure to pick it up before you put cattle in the same feild cause theyll eat it all n dig a big hole
But just buy it at co-op or tractor supply cause its cheaper n bigger blocks

Does this desolve when it rains and how long does last when licked on a regular basis?

NO RAIN WONT HURT THEM.WHEN LICKED ON REGULAR BASIS ABOUT 3-6 MONTHS REALLY DEPENDS KNOWONE CAN REALLY SAY.

yes,every time it's rains it will desolve by about 1/10.A:Â
It lasts a good while, will stand up to a decent amount of rain, if it poured for a week straight id imagine it would take its toll on the rock, but if you put it in a slight depression the deer will tear the spot up even after the rock is gone.A:Â
if it desolves in the rain it has been very slow. With 4-6 bucks licking on our rocks they have lasted 3-4 months before having to be replaced.A:Â
Yes, some of it does disolve but not enough to worry about. If you have plenty of deer in the area they will make good use of it.A:Â

We have had rain non stop and it doesn't even look like it has seen one drop. This thing works!!A:Â
Mine lasted four weeks. During that time we had rain on a weekly basis and 5 inches of snow. The deer licked it regularly after they found it (that was about a week after putting it down. I would recomend it for duration.A:Â
I would suggest putting it on a log or stump. Mine always last about a month and a half and it gets visited by deer and other game daily.

No it does not dissolve when it rains. It will last a long time...two rocks will last me all year. But I keep the rocks on a stump or log and that helps.Images for this Answer

I SAT IN MY STAND ON A VERY WINDY DAY AND SEEN SEVEN DOES COME AND LICK THE ROCK AT ONE TIME. I HAVE A TRAIL CAMERA AND I GET TONS OF PIC ON THE TROPHY ROCK. IT REALLY WORKS. I BEEN USING IT FOR 4 YEARS.A:Â
I have had 0 deer actually use this. I have videos of several passing it by, but they didnt stop. Like all attractants/feeds it depends on what the deer in your area are used to. It has not worked for me but it may work for you depending on what your deer like. In my area you would be better off with C'mere deer or Deer Cane.A:Â
I have a mineral - salt lick ,their are deer going to lick or eat the dirt on the ground every day.Make sure you put it in a damp place so it will melt into the dirt.A:Â
The deer on our farm love the trophy rocks, we have seen as many as 6 bucks at one time around our rocks. The trick is to scout your area early season and put them out before the deer start developing their antlers. Once they find it they will come back to it time and time again for the nutrients.A:Â
You bet it does, read my post and check out the photos. I can also tell you this. Try putting the rock along a deer trail in a place where there are not many people walking around (where most people avoid) and if you have a scouting camera place it near the rock. Set the camera to take photos day and night. You will probably find most activity is at night. However, if you can put the rock someplace where the deer feel comfortable moving during the day you may have some good daylight photo opportunities for your trail cam. You may not see much of the activity yourself but if you can put a trail cam there and you won't miss much. Be sure to follow the tips that come with the trail cam so you can also get good photos. Otherwise you may end up getting photos of nothing because the afternoon sun will have the cam taking photos repeatedly when nothing is there. You will be amazed at the amount of animals (deer) that visit the rock. Good luck to you and if you get one, put another review here with a photo to let others know of your sucess.A:Â

Buddy if you have any deer within a mile they will find this thing, you just have to be patient... Alot of my photos are of deer I have never seen on my property, so I know they travel a long distance just to lick this thing.

It really depends on where you hunt. If you look at the reviews of all the mineral and game feeds, some people have good luck with the stuff they put out and some don't. It doesn't hurt to try something but if the deer don't like it, they don't like it. It probably depends mainly on the deer population and health. If there are a lot of deer the chances of it getting eaten or good. If you hunt where there isn't as much to eat, chances are the deer will eat this. You can look at the reviews for an idea of what you want to get but the best thing to do is try it out. But I wouldn't get anything with a poor review. I usually go after something that has mostly or 50/50 good reviews.1 of 1
