Trius 1-Step Target Thrower
This thing is great. I have used conventional throwers until my wife got involved in shooting and said that they were too hard to pull back. So I looked into the Trius. Not only can you cock it with one finger, it makes it possible to shoot by yourself. Also, no stakes are required! The design keeps it well placed on the ground and after a few shots, it will dig itself into the ground for perfect throws every time. And it throws doubles perfectly. For the price, you couldn't ask for any better. Heck. You couldn't ask for better even at twice the price. And if I had a dollar for every person that has come up to me at the range to ask me about my thrower......

I bought one of these a few weeks ago and love it. It is nice to be able to go out and shoot by myself with ease. The only thing I did not like is the target clip. You cannot throw minis or adjust to throw right or left with the clip it comes with. I modified mine by removing the one it came with and installing a clip from the Champion Skybird thrower and now works GREAT!!! The different clip is a MUST.

Seems a better design than most
Former AR duck hunter now dabbling in clays to prevent getting rusty. The glowing reviews proved correct. First thrower I've ever purchased, should have bought this years ago. Busting clays less than 40 minutes after opening box. (1).Load the clay(s). (2).Swing the freely(!) rotating throwing arm behind the trigger catch. (3).Step on the pedal to tension the throwing spring, and as the pedal nears the ground the trigger will release automatically, leaving the shooter in a very stable shooting position while observing orange flying saucers. My kids can easily load and throw across or from behind me to create alternate approaches. Nice clean throws, four throwing angles. Assembly can nearly be done from the box photo in a few minutes, there are almost no fasteners required for the purchaser to insert: (four identical bolts and one eyebolt). 20-30 minute assembly, any longer than this surely includes locating two 9/16" wrenches.

I could not recommend a product more highly than this. If you are in the market for a thrower PLEASE PLEASE spend the extra $$ for a better product. I have been to the range and have witness numerous people with the cheap "yellow" brand and the clays break upon launch, plus they fight to reset and launch. And using the red brand hand throwers are a joke! (I have a old metal Western hand thrower that is a gem). I can use the Trius alone or with friends. Reseting the launcher, oh my god! There is no spring pressure on it, and a pinky will do it, that is how simple. It will throw stacked doubles, singles, straight doubles, and minis. You have to go the Lyman/trius website to get instructions on the minis, but it is simple to do them.
