Rated 5 out of 5 by Trim Extenders I have a 19.6 foot 96inch beam dual console bass boat with a ten inch jack plate and a mercury 200 hp engine i installed these because my engine was tucking to far under,i actually had to bump the trim up a little before i installed these to get a decent hole shot after installing them i have ran my boat several times and my hole shot is very good and i have also gained 2mph on top speed, verified with gps. I don't have any blow out on turns.and my water pressure is excellent, yes i could have raised my jack plate but my boat handles very well where it is and i don't have to worry about chime walking or water pressure issues.Oh i am running a 23 pitch tempest prop, wot 5550 didn't notice any change in rpm's at wide open throttle with 2 people and all gear on board. In my case they were very helpful, very well worth the money. Wouldn't recommend this as a gift the boat owner needs to make a decision like this.. August 29, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by trim extenders Like them very much, I needed just a little more trim. Put them on and got just what I needed. Better bow lift and 3 mph. Got my trophy prop running as fast as my tempest. July 2, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Trim Extenders Placed these on my Mercury 250 ProXS and saw no change in performance. No gain in hole shot or top end....just 26.99 lighter bank account. May 27, 2010

You won't need locking nuts. They are machined well enough they tighten right down. If you are concerned about them backing out.....a drop of Lock-tite will hold them forever.

All you need is a pair. They screw right in and add a little on your top end speed.
