Rated 5 out of 5 by You get what you pay for! Excellent scope, well engineered and constructed. Accuracy on the AR-15 is "bulls-eye". November 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by ACOG when i was in the army this is what we had why because it's the best in the industry. It's pricey, but what good is a rifle that you can't hit what you're shooting at? I can put 10 round groups inside 4" all day at 100yds with it. Quality remains long after price is forgotten. . . July 27, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by ACOG I have had an EOTech and I now feel that the ACOG is far superior in quality and ease of use. December 30, 2010

Mounts

Details:
I have troy folding battle sites on my S&W M&P15 in 5.56/.223. I would like to keep the sites on and still be able to use them in conjunction with this ACOG.

Is there another mount I would need in order to accomplish this?

Unless you were to mount a rail spacer (which would make using the ACOG very uncomfortable because of the added height), you cant use them together, usually you would just fold down the battle sights to be used if the ACOG were to fail or if you remove it. One nice feature of the ACOG is that you are able to remove it and replace it without losing zero. I hope this helps.
