Great device. I added on a beeper since purchase which is controllable from the remote. I was thinking of getting a Sport model for much less money, but wanted to be able to remote control the beeper and not lose the 'tone only' function. Another benefit to the Field like is Water PROOF instead of Water Resistant. I got this device just before Christmas and over the holidays while on a walk with my GSP, he ran out of site through some high willows across a beaver pond. He ended up breaking through the ice and going in. This unit helped me determine that happened and then when I ended up going through the ice in effort to save him, I was really glad I had the waterPROOF one. He had given up the fight when I found him and was just waiting to be rescued ... not sure he'd have made it if we didn't have this collar. Have also used quite a few times since. My favorite feature is being able to turn that beeper on and off and still able to use tone only so I don't have to give a shock correction. One thing that I think would be easy for TriTronics to incorporate into the collar (or probably better, the beeper) would be an LED strobe or flasher that could be activated to find the dog in low visibility or at night.
