Eliminate unnecessary holes in the transom of your aluminum or fiberglass boat caused by installing sonar transducers and paddle wheels. Maintenance-free, high-density polyethylene plate will not corrode and is pre-drilled for easy installation. They hold up to 4 accessories and allow unrestricted placement of transducers. Stainless steel screws included.

I like it! This plate is perfect for what I needed. I mounted my transducer to it so far, and it works great. Now I have plenty of room to mount other things if I want to without drilling more holes in my transom. I intended to mount the plate with glue as suggested in previous comments instead of drilling into my aluminum boat, but that did not work for me. The plate is perfectly flat, but I guess the transom of my boat is not. It would have taken a lot of glue. So I mounted it by following the directions and drilling two small holes, using liberal amounts of silicone sealant on the screws. Then I ran a bead all around the edge of the plate and sealed it completely. Works great. Looks great. No leaks at all. It was definitely worth the price, and worth drilling two small holes in my boat. July 4, 2012
Great plate Great product. Easy to cut to custom fit. Instead of using screws I glued it on using 3M 5200 adhesive. Recommended! October 11, 2010
Great Idea! This product keeps you from making a lot of extra holes in your transom while you are trying to find the sweet spot for your transducer and/or speedometer. September 7, 2010
good product I am not a fan of putting any holes in my boat, but this product insures that you dont ever have more than one set of holes, no matter how many transducers you use or move. Just make sure to seal it well with some good marine adhesive. August 26, 2010

A:
The flatness would be an issue, if you do not have an area where it can be mounted it would not work.
