Material works well with transducer and paddle wheel. Had to make a concave indent so the product would neatly fit over a rivet - no problems encountered.
Mounting went well. Note: Do not use GOOP with this unit's material. GOOP has a statement on their product stating this fact.

This plate is perfect for what I needed. I mounted my transducer to it so far, and it works great. Now I have plenty of room to mount other things if I want to without drilling more holes in my transom. I intended to mount the plate with glue as suggested in previous comments instead of drilling into my aluminum boat, but that did not work for me. The plate is perfectly flat, but I guess the transom of my boat is not. It would have taken a lot of glue. So I mounted it by following the directions and drilling two small holes, using liberal amounts of silicone sealant on the screws. Then I ran a bead all around the edge of the plate and sealed it completely. Works great. Looks great. No leaks at all. It was definitely worth the price, and worth drilling two small holes in my boat.

Great product. Easy to cut to custom fit. Instead of using screws I glued it on using 3M 5200 adhesive. Recommended!

This product keeps you from making a lot of extra holes in your transom while you are trying to find the sweet spot for your transducer and/or speedometer.
