At just 6.25 lbs., this quick-handling muzzleloader lightens your hunting load—and like the original Vortek, it’s loaded with great features. For instance, the barrel and frame are an advanced alloy made with CeraKote, a ceramic-based super-light material that’s 7-1/2 times more wear-resistant, and 50 times more corrosion-resistant, than standard coatings. With its Hogue® over-molded stock and forend, plus an ultra-light drop-out trigger assembly, the Vortek UL is a great value. Includes Accelerator Breech Plug™. Quick Relief Recoil Pad is easy on the shoulder. Twist: 1 in 28''. Barrel length: 28''. Overall length: 44''. Weight: 6.25 lbs.

I wanted one since they came out with this gun. I finally bought one and put a bushnell DOA on it. This muzzleloader is now a long range gun and the muzzleloader will dispatch a deer clean and quick. It has the best options any one could want, Like the ported barrel, speed breach, drop out trigger, double saftey. It is easy to load easy to clean. Now I want the Reaper.

I borrowed this gun from one of my friends for the deer muzzleloader season. Loved it the first shot I took. Extremely light. The recoil is very minimul and a very acurate gun. Highly recomend getting this muzzleloader

150 grains of powder is the max. I use three 777 pellets(150grains). If your going to use loose powder of 777 then you will need to reduce that 150 by 15%. The bullet I use is the T/C sabot in 250 grains. The deer I have been killing with do not go far sometimes they just fall over.
most muzzleloaders with take up to 150 grains 3 pellets, i shoot a cva wolf and only use 2 pellets( 100gr) and have shot deer coyotes and several hog to include 180 lb hog at 60 yrds with complete pass thruogh.
