Great Value, Devastating Performance I got this gun + scope combo last summer in anticipation of using it for both the early and late muzzle loader seasons and for gun season. That was a good plan because this is a LOT of gun for the money and it performs better than a slug gun by a long shot. At the range, at 50 yds, I was putting conical bullets in the same hole. At 150 yds, I was making 3" groups, and frankly, I might have been flinching a little bit after the number of shots I took getting out to that distance. You don't feel it in the field, but you will after 15 shots at the range. Speaking of in the field, this gun is light. Very light. It's a pleasure to stalk with this gun, even in the thick stuff. Where the rubber meets the road is how it takes game. My first deer with it was at 125 yds, and it just dropped. Do yourself a favor and while you're at your Bass Pro buying this gun, pick up some Blackhorn 209 as well. Great gun/load combo (and you can clean up with Hoppes!). November 13, 2014
Love this gun I bought the thumbhole model and it shoulders beautifully. Sighted it in at 100 yds using a lead sled and put three shots in a 3 inch group right out of the box....with open sights. Can hardly wait for the hunt! October 5, 2011
JUNK The only good thing I can say is Bass Pro took it back. Very hard to load. Would not shoot a group smaller 2 FEET. Hands down the worst gun I ever shot. September 2, 2011
