I received my traditions kit (50 cal.) 15 years ago. I loved putting it together and getting the finish I liked. It was very easy to do. This year I added the fiber optic sights, which are great! It has taken many deer with all different types of shot. I use 90 grains pyrodex with Hornady 400 gr. maxi or sabots. My 12 y/o is now hunting with it. I can't wait for him to harvest his first deer. I highly recommend it. In fact I'm going to buy another kit and help him with it.

Read about putting together a muzzleloader in the book "Indian Creek Chronicles" and decided to put one together myself. Chose this one. Took a while to put together, taking a lot of time on fitting and forming the wood. Came out to be a very beautiful percussion rifle. Compete with the expensive muzzleloaders around our valley and hold my own very nicely. Very good bang for the buck and have impressed a few others. Works best with about 60 grains and any lead ball or bullet that I have tried so far.

Bought this kit last year. Parts come no where near close to fitting!, You would need a shop full of machines and tools to assemble this kit properly. Sent it back!
