Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Smokepole To be brief, I have A TC Encore. The Buckstalker every bit as good if not better. No more need be said. October 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent first muzzleloader This was the first year that I got into muzzleloader hunting so I wasn't looking to spend a whole lot of money. After hours of comparing I decided to go with the Traditions Buckstalker w/ fiber sights. I took it to the range a week before muzzleloader season and out the box it was shooting the 7 ring (high & left) at about 75 yards. Within 5 shots it was shooting 9's & 10's. (standing) Took it out hunting on opening day and bagged my first doe with it. Great gun for the price and easy to clean & maintain. I don't think I'll ever buy another one, just because I love this gun that much. October 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Gun Great gun! I was able to bore sight my scope in and get it on paper first shot. The 209 primers make this a very easy gun to shoot. Upfront cost to get powder and everything for it is pricey but very worth the reward. Great conversation piece also!!! July 18, 2012

Recoil?

Details:
I've never shot a muzzleloader before and I was wondering how the kick is on this gun compared to 12ga slugs, 7.62x59, 30-06. or anything else.

A:
I've shot all kinds of guns and if you've shot a 12 Ga. it is not as bad as that. Just put it hard to the shoulder and let it rip!
