Pontoon Cleaning Made Easy I've used Toon-brite for several years. You just spray it on, let it sit a few minutes, then rinse it off. That is just how simple to use it is. I love the way the toons look when I'm finished using this product! November 24, 2014
Toonbiright Product I have a 2008 Pontoon and I tried to use this product non-diluted and it turned my pontoon on one side white and streaked in different areas. I diluted it 50/50 and used on other side and it did nothing. I followed the instructions, applied the product with a mop and washed it off with a pressure washer within 5 minutes of application. Now I have a white spotted and streaked pontoon that looks terrible. I have had to order a special marine aluminum paint and going to have to re-paint both pontoons to get an evenly matched look again. Paint cost is $89 plus a lot of personal time and effort. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. November 21, 2014
Worked great for what I needed We used this on a pontoon that we purchased that had been sitting, in the water, for approximately 18 months - the bottoms of the 'toons were black and coated with all sorts of crud. The important things to remember when using this product is a) do not use it in direct sunlight; and b) do not let it dry on the pontoons. I rinsed my pontoons down with clean water prior to applying it - sprayed it on; waited 5 minutes, and then rinsed it off. Worked like a champ - and it did not turn my 'toons white. I've seen several comments where people used them on 'new' - I can't speak to that, but for what we needed, it did a great job and was very easy to use. I also applied it using a handheld garden pump sprayer that had a very fine mist setting - maybe that helped? Will definitely use it again - this weekend :) I only did the outsides of the toons when we cleaned it up for use over the summer - time to get the insides. Then, time to polish them and put a protectant on..... August 27, 2014
Looks like new.... I use this on my Tracker each fall to make my boat look like new... I spray it on straight, and rinse it off a couple of minutes later. A couple of times around the boat and she's done! December 15, 2013

I clean my toons every couple of years when they get pretty dirty. I spray on 100% and let set for about 10 minutes, then pressure wash off, (not garden hose) Then I apply again and let set for 10-15, then again, then again, until satisfied. One gallon will do my two toons on a 24' boat.

A:
The 1/2 gallon with sprayer must be diluted 1 to 1 or 3 to1, depending on application.
Boats left in water for season or pulled in & out each time.
The 1 gallon is ready to use for heavy clean or dilute 50/50 making 2 gallons for light clean.

It is an acid base, so you will need to follow
safety instructions on bottle. Gloves & safety glasses.
Most times it will not harm grass, however you can wet grass prior to cleaning to protect.

The only problem I noticed was getting a whiff of the spray that irritated my nose. But this was very minor. Similar to other household cleaning products. I would say use whatever PPE you normally use with these type of products and you should be OK. No problems with grass but I did wash down boat and area after application with a large amount of water.

It is a acid base with surfactants for foaming. This allows product to cling when applied.
