These rod holders are very simple to install. What I like about these that meny of the others in the market do not have is the ability to adjust them at different angles. As fishing techniques change so do these rod holders. If you are lateral trolling you can set them at a low angle or if you are still fishing you can set them at a higher ange depending on the situation. You can do all of this by just loosening the nut and move to your angle then re-tighten. Great product.

I have used these holders for 16' fiberglass poles and rod & reels. They hold both great and are plenty adjustable right and left, and up and down. Will be purchasing more of these.

I bought the tigte-lok rod holder for my jon boat. It worked great and allowed me to have a hand free while trolling. It's great to adjust to any angle up or down and forward or rearward. I liked it so much, I had to have a nother one.

I used this Rod holder in combination with the gunnel mount. The combination worked well however I had to use a square piece of wood to add support for the gunnel mount to the side of the boat. It just seemd more sturdy this way. I used this to troll for walleye and northern up in canada. Worked well and not once did the pole come out of the holder (a good thing). I did a lot of searching to find something sturdy and to also fit over the gunnel and secure to the side of the boat.
