durable, multiple angle pivot, I have 2 on each of my down-rigging boats and have never had them come apart or cause me any grief. I load them with a diver, 250 ft of line out, pulling a flasher and spoon and in4 ft waves they handle the load, they also double well as a net/gaff holder to keep the boat clear. My original pair are 6 years old and look like they did the day I purchased them other than a few scratches.

I bought 4 of these To use with walker divers and lead core. First trip out 3 of the 4 plastic thumb turns used to adjust the angle fell off. The rod holders worked ok except for this problem. Manufacturer needs to make a simple design change and these would get great ratings. Probably a simply fix with a stainless steel wing nut welded to the pin.

I needed rail mounted rod holders for my boat and these were just what I needed. These holders were at least 25% lower in cost than the others I considered. Bass Pro shipping is great! I got these holders in less than a week.

No. The buyer would have to purchase one made by another manufacturer and bolt the base to it. It would easily carry the load though
