Carbon fiber shaft prevents bending, and ergonomic ball-bearing handle allows full following of rifling both pushing and pulling.
Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent in every way This is the best cleaning rod I know of. It will not scratch the bore and it performs flawlessly. June 30, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Beware 17 cal rods! I bought this rod and had not used it much, certainly not abused it and it snapped in two. The info with the rod states "This product is warranted to withstand reasonabel blows, torque pressures and shaft flexations ......" Well the pressure that I applied to it was not that great in my opinion and I certainly wasn't hammering on it. This is not the first time that I have had a problem with Tipton's rods, but it will be the last time because I am not buying any more! Last time that it happened Tipton did not want to know as it was just over a year since it was purchased. June 10, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tipton Quality I've come to recognise that the Tipton brand name stands for long lasting quality and the fiber cleaning rods are no exception. Well made, easy / very smooth to use and I'm sure will last the test of time. I have plenty of old cheap rods that I didn't realise how bad they were until I started using the Tipton carbon fiber rod. Highly recommended. May 5, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by the rod I bought this because I broke my old one while cleaning my 22-250. It spins very well while inside the barrel and I noticed it flexes just enough to not break. March 28, 2010

Not if you get the long one, then it will work for even shotguns with long barrel lengths. But you may want to get yourself a jag kit.
