Tipton® Best Gun Vise is designed to accomodate the widest possible range of firearms for cleaning, maintenance, or gunsmithing and is easily configurable to handle bolt-action rifles, break-open shotguns, AR-15's, or handguns. Central aluminum channel lets the user move individual components to the ideal position for their firearm. Each individual component then adjusts to the perfect position for secure support. Rear base features two adjustable offset clamps for a tight grip on a wide range of buttstock configurations. Extremely stiff and is made from high-quality, solvent-resistant nylon that will stand up to years of hard use. Non-marring contact surfaces.

this is a must have this makes life so easy. why did i not buy sooner. April 25, 2012
great vise for all guns This is a great vise for all guns. The vise is all plastic but its durable enough and wont shift around on the surface while working on a gun. My only complaint is that the up/down adjustment for the forearm of the gun is difficult to adjust. November 27, 2011
Good investment I just picked this vise up and I'm very impressed with it. You can modify it to secure virtually any gun, even break-action, whether it be for cleaning, gun smiting or even mounting a scope. With that being said the parts are a pain to set up if you're trying to perfectly level your gun. It is very doable, it just takes a little time. Also, the parts are all made of plastic (except for the screws) and bend very easily (for example the clamps when you tighten them on the stock). It would make more sense if they were made out of some sort of metal, although that would probably raise the price. After all, this is a tool and not many of my tools are made of plastic... A:
No, it's not a gun sled. This is to hold your gun while you perform maintenance on it.
