I purchased the Tikka T3 Lite in .308 Winchester. The bolt is, by far, the smoothest I have ever seen. Trigger setting from the factory was perfect for me and has absolutely no creep. I was a bit concerned about the plastic magazine after other reviews I had read, but I have no doubts about it after firing the gun. No problems whatsoever feeding shells from the magazine to the chamber. I like the inline stack feature of the magazine, even though it cuts the magazine capacity from 4 or 5 down to 3. Trust me, once you get this gun sighted in, you won't need the extra shells in the magazine!
Took it to the range to get ready for deer hunting and was extremely pleased with the results. I used Remington, Winchester, Hornady, and Fusion ammo, all 150 gr., and results were good with all brands. I have never owned a rifle that wasn't picky about the type of ammo I used with it, but I feel confident I can take either of these brands and have a successful hunt.
I only have one complaint about the gun, and it is one that is easily overcome. The stock recoil pad is not very good. It is a thin layer of rubber over a hard plastic frame, and therefore does not offer much protection. I replaced it with a Limbsaver pad and that really makes it a pleasure to shoot!
Bottom line is this: If you are looking for a new rifle for the range or for the field, take a look at the Tikka T3 Lite. I don't think you will be disapointed!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ke11str Perfect for a beginner or advanced shooter.
I was deciding upon this or the Remington 700 and after holding the two, testing the trigger pull, and the bolt action, I went with this. I'll eventually add the Remington 700 but the Tikka is perfect for a beginner like me. This comes out wonderful right out of the box and I can't wait till my scope arrives (I chose the Leupold VX-1 4-12x40). I'm 5'2 and weigh under 100lbs and I can handle the .270 just fine.

this is an amazing rifle with only one down point...the recoil pad. it looks like a nice rubber pad but its actually hard plastic with rubber around it. so go ahead and buy a new recoil pad while ur checking out. im 6'1" and 174lbs and my friend is the same height but a little bigger than me and using 150gr i managed to get off 5 shots and he only got 2 shots off until we called its quits. the stock has a honey comb design in it so its strong and light at the same time. its made by beretta so you kno your getting a great rifle and its just simply an amazing rifle and i was always use to shooting the remington, winchester, and browning brands. so if ur thinking of buying a savage or sumthing just spend a little more and get a rifle that u know is going to be reliable. i even had ppl asking about it the first time i took it to the range with nothing but the scope and a bipod on it. but just remember.. SAVE AN ARM, BUY A PAD
