Makes fishing even more enjoyable I have big fingers, my eyesight isn't what it used to be and trying to tie knots with a line that is purposely made to be almost invisible is not my idea of fun. The fast-tie knot tyer takes a little getting used to but afterwards it makes it a snap to add line or change flies. It also saves me money as I'm losing less fllies now that I am tying them on properly and securely. October 17, 2013
Simple tool This is a very simple tool but one that works. Yes! you will need to practice and as others have mentioned there is a very good youtube video. I use this tool for nail knot as well as for tandem rigging my flies. Its a good product. If you are using it on the stream make sure you have the tool on a zinger as it is heavy and if you drop it in water it will sink quickly. March 12, 2010
Only for fly fishing? I tried it, failed. Read the instructions and tried again. Failed. Watched YouTube vids. Failed. Somethings are just not meant to be! Maybe this is THE tool for fly-anglers but us normal folk can do better. Better as took me less time to tie a palomar knot than it did to make sense of how to hold this thing. I'm guessing that I'm doing something wrong... March 23, 2011
Tie-Fast Knot Tier Not being a teenager - well maybe way past that stage - my hands and fingers do not work like they used to. I have struggled tying the normal knots used in fly fishing and was becoming concerned that I might have to start getting someone else to tie them. The Tie-Fast Knot Tier has changed all of that. My only regret is that I did not get one a long time ago. October 5, 2011
