Rated 5 out of 5 by Makes fishing even more enjoyable I have big fingers, my eyesight isn't what it used to be and trying to tie knots with a line that is purposely made to be almost invisible is not my idea of fun. The fast-tie knot tyer takes a little getting used to but afterwards it makes it a snap to add line or change flies. It also saves me money as I'm losing less fllies now that I am tying them on properly and securely. October 17, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by worth the $ Excellent tool for someone who doesn't have much experience tying knots. Instructions are a bit vague, but plenty of instructional videos online. May 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sometimes the Best Tools are the Simplest I love gadgets. I love them a lot but most of the time I have bought gadgets are just that…one use gadgets. They end up only doing one thing (maybe well) and then end up taking up precious gear space. At $10 I was really skeptical of buying this tool because it’s basically just a uni tasker made of a piece of bent sheet metal. Orvis must be making a killing. So, I decided to try it out and, if I wasn’t satisfied, I would return it to the store for a refund. I mainly do Walleye and Pike fishing and was looking for a way to tie my 60lb fluoro leaders (Berkley sells 100lb Fluoro Muskie leaders and my goal was to make my own). The 60lb line is so stiff and hard to work with that I can only tie a two wrap clinch knot, my mainstay, onto my cross snaps. Not enough insurance for my taste. Enter the Tie-Fast. Now I can tie 5-6 wrap gryp knots quickly and fairly easily onto my snaps. The tool has already paid for itself as Berkley sells their Muskie leaders for $15 each and I have already made 4 of my own for a couple bucks each. I completely agree with what a previous reviewer has said: The Tie-Fast is worth the cost itself just for its ability to tie gryp knots…especially with heavier line. Also, it ties a perfect snell knot. I’ve also figured out a way to tie an Albright knot with it and looking forward to using the Tie-Fast for all my knot purposes. Tip: When transferring any kind of knot to the line (by quickly snapping it on) I suggest that you don’t pull the tag tight at first. Tighten it just as much as it needs to hold itself and then squeeze the knot with the thumb and forefinger to get all the wraps to hold the same tension. Use your fingernail if need be to coax the wraps to the right spot if they are crossing. Then pull the tag end again and tighten it more. Continue like this 4-5 times and your knot will sit perfectly. THEN pull it onto your lure/hook/line. Happy fishing!! May 15, 2013
