Thompson/Center Natural Lube 1000+ Bore Butter
This is a great product for all muzzleloaders but it works really good when using a dirty powder because it seasons the bore to reduce fowling. When using bore butter you MUST use it correctly or it will not work. Make sure your bore is bone dry before appliying. If you apply it correctly it will work and you will like it. I would suggest you try bore butter. The only thing I don't like about it is that it will build up in your bore over time after each application. So you have to scrub it out with HOT HOT water and grease cutting soap every so often. Other then that it is awesome!!!!

Best there is.
I use this stuff for lubing after a field cleaning (unless its cold then it doesnt come out of the tube and you might as well just grab some crisco to take out with you) and for a grease coat after a complete wipedown. If you clean your gun, dry it out, squirt some wd40 down the barrel, toss it in the oven to dry it out and then wipe it down inside and out with bore butter you will never worry about rust again. And the first 5-10 shots of the day go down without much effort.

Why Not Use It?
There are others out there, but this does what they do. I think this does what they intended it to do, and therefore I like it. Also believes it does help with bullet seating, and evrything else.
Muzzleloaders are a dirty shooting sport, but then again that is half the fun.
