I use this stuff for lubing after a field cleaning (unless its cold then it doesnt come out of the tube and you might as well just grab some crisco to take out with you) and for a grease coat after a complete wipedown. If you clean your gun, dry it out, squirt some wd40 down the barrel, toss it in the oven to dry it out and then wipe it down inside and out with bore butter you will never worry about rust again. And the first 5-10 shots of the day go down without much effort.

this is a great product and does what it is intended to do. there are cleaner and easier to use products out there. i still keep a tube of this on hand as it is a good product to have as a back up.

There are others out there, but this does what they do. I think this does what they intended it to do, and therefore I like it. Also believes it does help with bullet seating, and evrything else.
Muzzleloaders are a dirty shooting sport, but then again that is half the fun.

I HAVE USED THIS 2 YEARS IN A ROW. BUT, I ONLY GET THE PRE-LUBED PATCHES. SO MUCH EASIER. I HAVE WRITTEN IT BEFORE. IT'S LIKE THE CLOROX WHIPES FOR HUNTERS
