Thill Gold Medal Series - Center Slider
I have two or three packs of these floats. I use them on anything from my panfish poles, spincast, spinning, even baitcasting gear depending on the target species.
They work extremely well in windy conditions, don't spook the fish, and slide up/down the line well. Top color is plenty bright, slender profile doesn't offer as much resistance as round floats/bobbers, so my perception is that fish hold on to the bait longer allowing for easier catches/hooksets.
Haven't had problems with line digging in to the top at this point.
For stops I'll use either BPS rubber stops, or dacron stops (with single bead). Either works well with these floats.

Great for finicky fish in lakes
These are good slip bobbers. They cast nicely, line slides freely, and they are extremely visible in the water. I believe that the stick shape leads to low resistance when a fish pulls them underwater, and it also seems to prevent waves from pulling the bobber up and down too much. I use the 3-7/8" size. With 1/4 ounce of weight, a #7 swivel, and a 3" minnow on the line underneath, the orange tip and a tiny bit of the chartreuse are all that poke above the water. I'd recommend using a little less weight that Thill lists or getting the next larger bobber if you're going to be in a situation where maximum visibility is desired.

I picked up a few of these the other day, after reading product reviews here and on other sites. WOW! I was very surprised and pleased at how sensitive these bobbers are! They are light, cast great, have a nice profile in the water and you can see them very easily. Just use a bobber stop and a bead; then you're set. I will be upgrading all of my bobbers to Thill products!

Best slip bobber yet
I love the way this bobber is quick to action, fast to straighten itself and get on with fishing. It's super easy to string up for use. No toxic weight needed due to its tube-through design.
