This thermometer works pretty good. The only problem I have with it is that it dont come with a on/off switch and that it came with a soft rubber cord instead of the braided wire cord like it shows on the internet. The instructions also state that if its used for grilling or smoking that it must be used as a instant read thermometer and not a continous read thermometer. That is a bummer! Would not buy another!

read the reviews about the woven metal jacket on probe cord. Could not tell from the packaging so I bought it anyway. Surprise, probe cord not metal woven and instructions specifically said that this was not designed as a leave in probe ? So , I still have to open my smoker to check my temp.

This product is GREAT. I recommend it for anyone who smokes their meat. The magnet is a great feature. I can stick it and leave it.
