I just love these Thermacell Heated Insoles. My daughter plays hockey and I am in the stands for hours at a time for games and practices with cold, freezing feet, NO MORE COLD feet thanks to these heated insoles. Thermacell Heated insoles keep my feet warm/cozy and that makes me and my feet happy.

To be fair I didn't try them in cold weather, however after charging them fully as noted in the manual the heat emitted by these on the high setting is nearly undetectable. I wore them in my shoes around the house and couldn't feel any heat coming from them at all after 1 hour with light socks on. So I took them out of the shoes and felt them with my hands and could feel only a slight difference in the temperature in the toes of the insole. No heat whatsoever in the heel or arch area of the foot. Great idea, but I returned them.

I love Heated Insoles
I have used my heated isoles many times ine the woods and love them! I have always struggled to keep my toes warm while I'm hunting, but after I started using Heated Insoles I haven't had that issue.

Having read all of the reviews, I think some people expected much more from them than what they are actually designed to do. They are certainly like the bulky or uncomfortable hand warmers or toe warmers you put in your boots and spend the day adjusting, especially after walking on those. They are not designed to make your feet or boots hot. Anyone who has spent a fraction of the time I spend each winter in the timber can confirm you do not want your feet to sweat, or your problems just increased and time spent hunting decreased. It is certainly possible, as with any products, some of the people experienced a defective component. Mine have worked and worked well. Complete and proper charging should be verified.
Some stats- HotHands hand warmers publish an average temp of 135 degrees but can reach 158 degrees and cause burns. These are not designed for boots but countless people put them in boots and air cannot activate properly.
HotHands insole foot warmers publish an average temp of 99 degrees but can reach 109.
Stay Warm Toe warmers- no average temp posted but cautions consumers to not wear them in shoes or boots that get air because temps could rise to 158 and burn you.
ThermaCELL can heat up to 111 degrees. I have found mine to stay in that 101 to 102 range consistently. As with any type of cold weather dressing, proper layering is key.

Yes, I don't think it would be a problem. They may have to be trimmed to fit in teh liner properly. I'd put them inside the liners so that my feet are directly on the insoles. I'd also use a moisture wicking, medium weight sock.
The heat is lasting me a good 4 - 5 hours. Maybe I'm lucky? But they do say up to 5 hours and that's what I'm getting out of them on a full charge. Make sure when you don't want heat to use the remote to switch to no heat to save battery life.
Mine last a good 4-5 hours. Maybe I'm lucky but the website says they'll do about 5 hours and mine last that, no question. Don't forget to select No Heat on the remote when you don't want heat to save battery life.
I hunt in Texas, mostly for hogs. Hot or cold, I'm often on my knees, sitting on my heels, climing over things and I have no problems with over flexing with these things. They are very durable and comfortable. I've walked quite a ways numerous times now with these with no problems at all.
"Heated Insoles have been tested for durability by SATRA Technology Centre and there should no issues while hiking during a hunt. They have been tested to 100,000 footsteps on a concrete surface, and should perform normally beyond that.
Also, having the battery flex hasn’t been an issue in any of the rigorous testing we have done. And from personal experience, you can’t feel the battery at all in the insole."
