Rated 5 out of 5 by vegas01 great purchase
I purchased this product when my husband found a camper that didn't have a bathroom. The pett has made camping enjoyable. No more worries of far off bath houses or nasty bathrooms. It assembles in seconds and you really can go anywhere!! Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BigAl60 Great Addition to Camp
I have had one of these for 7-8 years and have used it many times camping. I also set it up once for my 90 YO Mother when she broke her ankle and it was as stable and odor free as they say. Kept in a tent it will save trips to the Bathroom/House in the middle of a cold night and will not be offensive to the nose. Sturdy, reliable, sanitary, and easy to dispose of when finished. Great addition to any outdoor venue when convenience and ease of use is paramount. Great construction, but don't lean back like you are at home! LOL

Rated 4 out of 5 by robert123 great toilet!!
This toilet works great, very stable. I just wish that the design would allow for the top cover to stay attached so you could close it between uses...

I was a little leery of this, but the reviews were positive. Order one for our Canadian fishing trip where you spend all day on a boat. I'm about 270 lbs and weight was not an issue with this. Very easy to set up and dispose of the evidence. Wish the legs were longer but that would also affect the fold up size. Pricey refills, but hey I'd pay anything for them when duty calls.

There is enough gelling powder to gel 32 ounces (946.35 ml) or 3-4 uses. This is a personal choice/decision; the gel keeps on working until fully saturated, and must be activated by a liquid to properly encapsulate the solid waste. The toilet's lid can be placed on the toilet over used bags to keep out insects. Extra toilet paper and hand wipes may be needed. You may also want to consider purchasing a canister of Poo Powder® waste treatment and sprinkle a little on top of the waste between uses.
The bag is quite large, and made of heavy duty plastic. With the cost per bag taken into consideration, I would use it multiple times before removing and discarding. Do remove and discard whenever you need to move the PETT to a new location.
You really do need to remove and discard the bag when you relocate the PETT. It has gel in it to solidify the waste, but it is still in mushy gel form. While in the PETT, the bag is open. Remove it, you'll be happier.
Lift up the seat, flick the top of the waste bag that is tucked into the clean sanitary drip edge groove. Grab the upper portion of waste kit and twist bag a couple of times at the lowest point just above the waste. Fold over top of bag and place in the zip-close disposal bag for transporting to next campsite. You can use the bag several times before final landfill disposal. That's what I'd do.
