Great All Around Shoe
I've had these shoes for over a year now and wear them casually and for hiking. These are a comfortable hiking shoe in my opinion. Just got back from hiking Glacier National Park in MT and Yellowstone. They held up really well. I personally like these over a bulky type hiking boot.

Surprising Quality / Durability Issues
Though these shoes are designed for active hikers, runners, and outdoorsmen, I do not put nearly that kind of pressure on these shoes. I use them only for normal everyday wear. As a result, I was surprised to find that part of the sole is already peeling away from another part of the sole. I've only had them for 2 weeks.
Based on the price and the fact that they are from North Face, I am very disappointed. I expect this rugged and durable shoe to hold up to the worst conditions, much less my more "normal" uses.
I like the way they look and fit, but what good is that if they fall apart?
This is a real drawback to ordering shoes online. If I had bought them here in town, I would have taken them back already. Since they are from Bass Pro, I'll need to ship them back or drive to Dallas (two hours away) to return them. What a hassle.
