The North Face Hedgehog III GTX XCR® All-Terrain Shoes for Men
Nice Shoe, Needs Break In
I got a pair of these for Christmas. My wife caught them on a great sale and bought them. They are great. I have wore them around town and out in the mornings in wet grass. They seem to be everything that they are advertised. If you get them I highly recommend you break them in a little before a real hike. They are a bit stiff on the top at first but after wearing them about 3 times they start to feel a lot better. Now I like them and I wear them out in the fields in the mornings training dogs.

Very Good Product
I bought these North Face GTX shoes to replace a pair of Merrill's that I had for years.
The NF shoes are very comfortable and seem to be waterproof, just as advertised, although I haven't worn them is terribly wet conditions yet. However, having worn them in the snow, they do the job, and I have no doubt they will also survive a driving rain storm if needed.
The only reason I give them a 4 instead of a 5 is the fact that I don't like them quite as much as the Merrill's that I replaced. However, don't be afraid to buy this product. They will do the job.

I bought a pair of these shoes 2 years ago and must say i'm very impressed. I have hiked more than 100 miles through the smokey mountains with a 50 pound pack. Usually a week at a time and never had any problem, never any blisters ... except they are not fire retardent.. (stream was a little deaper than i thought and while drying them out they may have gotten a little close to the fire) Even with the back of the soles burned off they are still pretty comfortable and still waterproof. I will be getting another pair before my next big hike.

I have worn these about a dozen times in wet and snowy conditions and they have kept my feet dry. The problem with these shoes is that they are heavy and stiff, which makes them not ideal for all day use. Most of my uninsulated gore-tex hiking boots are lighter and more comfortable.
