I was really hoping this book was going to be an independently written book with information that was useful for all types of jerky. Unfortunately, it was written mostly with references to Bass Pro Shops, don't get me wrong there is no reason you can not share information but it would have been nice to purchase a book that had more information and less sales pitches.
I was looking for more recipes, best recipes for different meats, pros and cons of using a tenderizer and preservative. I was a little dissapointed with the lack of recipes, if I wanted to use a kit I would buy a kit.
The book had a lot of pictures, none in color.
