I've used it for a few seasons now and I like it.
Yes, it adds 2-3 ounces to your rod, but if you set it up right it balances your rod and reel so that the rod tip feels light as a feather.
Not only makes it less tiring to hold the rod and cast all day, but makes the rod a lot more sensitive to what's going on at the end of your line.
I want to get one for each of my rods.

I just put the Balancer on 2 of my 6'6" MH BPS Tourney spinning rods and the improved feel and handling is awesome. I plan to add it to some additonal rods soon.

I HAVE THIS PRODUCT ON ONLY ONE OF MY RODS NOW, BUT CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE WHEN IN USE. I WILL DEFINITELY PURCHASE THIS FOR THE REST OF MY RODS. IT IS A GREAT IDEA.

Works great but kinda defeats the purpose of having light weight gear. I've used this product for years and I have to admit it made it easier to hold a rod all day when the rod wasn't tipping down, plus it really seemed to help with feeling river smallmouths pick up a lure. I started out using this on a 5'6" light weight rod and then moved it to a 7' medium action spinning rod and it worked great on both.

I have only seen the JM Signature Series I rods, not the JM Signature Series II rods so I am not 100% sure, but it will surely work on the JM Signature Series I rods. If you are more familiar with the differences and/or similarities between the JM Signature Series I rods and the JM Signature Series II rods, you can make the decision yourself knowing that it would be a good fit for the JM Signature Series I rods.Details:
I plan on buying a new UglyStik Lite UltraLight rod. I assume this would fit the rod, I just wondered if anyone has tried these on "ultralights".Answers

I put my pinkish wrap on a MH rod and can see to difference in the install between that and a UL.

I love these - and have them on dozens of rods. They fit almost every rod with a "standard" cork grip which is usually 1 inches to one & 1/8ths inches in diameter. If your handle diameter is less than an inch; it won't fit well. You can use electrical tape to build up the diameter, but its really designed for Bass, Walleye, Pike, even Muskie rods that can be tip heavy. It really excels in any "rod tip up" lure presentation.A:
I use the Balancer system on one light rod, and one medium-light rod, and have found it to work well. You can easily adjust the amount of weight at the butt end to get the exact balance point you want (all of my rods are balanced at the reel seat).Answers

Maybe not very well suited. The Balancer is about 2 inches deep and many of the split grip rods have smaller (shorter) butts than this. You may have to use a spacer to make it fit. But; put it on one of your other rods and I swear you buy these for almost every rod you own.

The balancer will fit a Mojo rod, the cap will be very snug on the bottom though. Put your reel on the rod and then adjust the balance so the tip is lighter than the butt of the rod. If you get the tip too light you'll have trouble pitching baits without a fair amount of practiceA:
I have 7 St. Croix rods (Legend Tournament and Avid models), and I have balanced all of them so the fulcrum is at the reel seat. You can fine-tune the weights, however, so that you can create slightly more weight toward the butt or the tip of the rod, based on your personal preference. With several of my rods, I filed away a bit of the lead on the weights to create the exact balance point I wanted. I have not needed to use more than two of the included weights on any of the rods.Answers

Usually these balance kits come with several size weights. I use a them myself. you should be able to get a decent balance. I use a little duck tape to add some strength to the butt ( I broke a couple years ago)

I don't see the exact weight of this product in grams or ounces, can someone please provide this for me. Trying to balance my 9.5 ft float 'n' fly rod I'm using for steelhead, hoping this woks better then quarters!Answers

I don't know the exact weights, but you get three VERY heavy weights with each one. I have never used more than one of the lead weights even on 7 & 8 foot rods. You will have plenty even for your float and fly. I would fish with just one and then see if you want more.A:

I have a 9 foot noodle rod and I still had to put 4 quarters in with the weights, but works wonderful.
