Texsport Tent Pole Replacement Kit
I reluctantly purchased this product after reading the review on the larger poles but found the assembly to be quite easy once I discarded the wire that is supposed to be used to help feed the shock cord through the center of the poles. The cord can be pushed through the center with just using one's fingers. The assembly was quick and easy. The only recommendation I would make to the manufacturer is that some of the older Bass Pro tents that are still in use (such as mine) require two of the small tapered ends instead of just one. On the newer tents one is all that is needed. My old poles were split and splintered but the tent is now like new.

Waste of time and money
I am pretty handy and can fix just about anything short of a nuclear reactor. I must me missing something. The instructions state to tape the cord to the supplied wire. The cord and the wire alone are just about the same diameter as the hole. If I use a small piece of tape it is not strong enough to hold to the wire. If I use a bigger piece of tape it is too big to fit through the hole. I tried a piece of shrink wrap and it pulled out too and now stuck in the middle of one of the poles.
I can't return because I cut one of the pole sections. What a waste of time and money. I guess I am going to throw away my tent and new poles and just go buy a new tent. I guess I am a victim of our disposable society. $15 and an afternoon wasted.

Pop-Up Blind Repair
I have a doghouse deer blind that last years blizzards busted the poles up. The replacement ones Ameristep sells are actually 4 inches shorter then what comes with blind. These make the roof loose and baggy. I bought these and cut and measured to fit and now my blind is back in shape. My godson just shot his 3rd buck out of it just this past weekend. Worth the money to get a custom fit.

replacement tent poles
Worked fine, was able to repair two of my broken poles with the kit. Just remember to score the fiberglass poles before trying to cut and either an extra pair of hands or a good clamp is necessary to string the elastic line.
