Texas Tackle Factory Texas Trout Killer II
Many Pros One Con
Picked up a pack in BPS last week. Two days of fall fishing and, well, yeah, it works. Casts like a bullet, even with only a hook; can do just about anything with it action-wise - I actually found that "less is more" with this lure. Perhaps because of its natural action. The one down fall? It doesn't last long if Pinfish are around.
In their defense: I've never found anything produced by the petro-chemical industry that CAN handle the jaws of a pinfish.
The tails only last about 3 casts, then all you have is the body. Even stopping the bait when you feel a pin nipping it doesn't help a lot (trout will smash it so you'll know the difference).
I'm buying more so that should say something. Just wish they were tougher, though not sure how they could do this (not a chemist).

The TTF II is a great lure for trout, redfish and flounder. It has a combination of great durability and great action, as well as stability when casting. In other words, it doesn't spin and twist your line while in the air. You can catch lots of fish on one bait without worrying about it pulling off of the jig head or getting torn up to bad by a toothy predator. I've been using the TTF tails for as long as they've been on the market and will continue to use them.

TTF Plastics - TroutKiller !!
I love this split tail plastic jerkbait from TTF. It's tough, yet has great action; and the extra flutter from the split tail on the fall draws a lot of strikes. A lot of big trout are caught on this bait every year and it doesn't get the credit it should. Thanks for making great bait.
