Best hunting pack I've used for a day hunt. Have used many different backpacks and several fanny or lumbar packs. This is the best yet. I don't care for backpacks as it seems they are always riding up and knocking you in the back of the head if you're crawling or trying to shoot prone. (No, don't always have time to drop the pack.) But fanny or butt packs are often a little too small to carry everything for a long hunt on a day in the mid-teens or 20s. This one does it well. Great design. Sturdy shoulder straps. Good hip padding. 2-liter hydration capacity is great. Dual entry into the main compartment makes it easy to get to things most often used. Used it on a second rifle deer hunt in Colorado this year and packed out "half" a deer -- two quarters and half the neck and rib meat, plus a back strap and tenderloin. Had it strapped in a game bag underneath the pack. Not the most comfortable three miles I've ever done but that's not for what it's designed. But, the pack took it in stride.

I sold my Badlands Monster to get this pack because it holds more gear, a lot more comfortable, fits better on my back and shoulders. Worth the extra money cause your buying a much better product. Constructed of better materials.
