Color is bright so its easy to find in a lot of loose leaves. works great for what i need it for.

This mallet is perfect for thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail or anywhere where weight is an issue. I have owned this product for over a year and have used it on Mt. Rainer, Yosemite, and many other hikes. I have never had any problems driving in my stakes and the puller works well. Unfortunately, it seemed to have recently disappeared, so now I'm purchasing another one.

Like previous reviews, I wish it were heavier, even though it did drive in all my stakes just fine, and pull them out. Took a little more effort than I thought would be needed.

this mallet does the job. Very light weight and useful. The mallet provides just enought weight to drive those stakes and the handle is used to pull up the stakes when packing it in. **CON** Although heavy enough to drive stakes, I would have liked the head to be a bit heavier.
