Rated 4 out of 5 by RobsGuideService good seat Very good seat overall. Good frame, nice look. Only dislike is no strap to snap seat closed while trailering or running outboard at high speeds. Frame is the best part. December 3, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by CroakerStroker Tempress "All Weather" After 25 years, I replaced the seats in my Arima with the same Tempress seats. The metal hinges and some of the snaps have already started to rust. "they don't make 'em like they used to". September 30, 2012

A:I am stout as well....the seat will probably fit you, but the cushion is very thin and offers no comfort
A:I weigh close to 300 pounds and dont have a problem with the seat
A:When I first had theese seats I was over 500 pounds! I never had a problem with the base cracking or stripping out. They were a teriffic, durable seat, even in my saltwater, guide use, enviroment. After their 7th year of using the same 3 seats I decided to change them to a newer style......HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! The side pins broke within a year and the seat covers started cracking and I was even down to half of my original weight!
A:My brother-in-law goes about 275 lbs and he hasen't crushed them yet. Unlike other seats I've had in my boat
A:Yes...both the seat and back have snaps that can be used when folded
A:Yes, but be careful un-snapping as you can pull the snap off the strap
A:No it doesn't. That would be a nice bonus feature. ( did you hear that, Tempress?)
A:No, install the seat with a swivel mount and spin the seat to face the rear of the boat and fold it down when being towed or if unoccupied when under way to prevent the back from popping up.
A:It does not. But when running it naturally turns with the back into the wind. If you fold the back down first, it will stay right there.
A:they stay down in high wind. They have a built in lock system.
A:All seat bases that have a four bolt pattern will fit
A:I used the Trempress Quick Detachable swivel mount...10 minute installation required drilling 4 holes in the deck for the mount.
A:STANDARD 4 BOLT 3/4 PIN BASES WORK WELL AS AN EXAMPLE, I USED 1 3 DEGREE OFFSET MONT TO LEAN IT BACK SOME
A:If you are trying to determine whether or not to order the High or Low back All Weather Tempress Seat, the High Back model's back rest extends to the front of the seat portion wnen folded; the Low Back model does not extend to the front of the seat when folded.
