First off, the pipe threads on the fittings bottom out on the housing threads so you can't get a solid seal. The teflon tape provided is not designed to seal poorly sealed pipe threads.
Secondly the gasket on the side caps of the pump housing are paper thin and when you tighten up the side cap bolts the impeller has no side clearance & seizes up.
I had to order a second pump to replace the first one and Bass Pro came through & honored my claim.
If they re-design the housing threads & use thicker side cap gaskets this pump would be a winner. I hope the new pump lasts longer than 1 day

After installing my new gas pump it worked fine but after it sat overnight the impeller swelled and could not turn the handle. They should sell a gas pump that is gas resistant. Other that that the pump was great.
