These rods are as good if not better than his gl Loomis rods currently made by shimano. And at Avery reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by WaterBomb Fantastic, Versatile Rod!
I've used this rod for fresh and saltwater Stripers, Smallmouth and fishing in the surf on the coast. It performs well in any of these environments. I plan on using it for Steelhead this winter and expect nothing but fantastic performance. My best and most versatile rod for my style of fishing!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by LunkerLing Great Rod for the Price
I've used this rod for about 10 outings so far and absolutely love it. I have the 8'6'' MH paired with a Stradic 4000 and its a great combo. Sensitive enough to feel the smolts biting my roe vs the tick of the bottom, yet has the backbone to land large fish. I hooked a 40lb salmon on this rod and it had plenty of power to handle the insuring 20 minute battle. I like the length of the butt, it is shorter than most long rods. Great for the wife as well since she is shorter and the long butts made it difficult for her to reel and set the hook. The rod is also very light weight.
