Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazingly good I hate the steering wheel mounted switch with the ugly annoying cord flopping everywhere and this item totally improved my boating experience. This switch makes trimming so much more consistent and safe because you can have both hands opn the steering wheel where they belong and just use a finger tip to trim up and down. I love it so much I almost want to buy another one just because....well because I LOVE it so much! August 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product Made very well, easily installed, and for many applications, but you do need some special tools. April 20, 2013

A:
Per the manufacturer, people have done it but we do not recommend it, do to the shortage of space between the top of the bezel and the bottom of the steering wheel. That is why we offer the PT2000P. Thanks

The switch stays at the 3 or 9 o'clock position it is held in place on my boat by 3 screws that were provided, i had to use a steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel and remove the 3 screws then place the tilt trim over steering shaft and reinstall the screws and put steering wheel back on took about 20 min,to install.
